Executive Vice President, Design and Development
Canadian hoteliers face rising capital costs, zoning roadblocks, and labour shortages. Overcoming these requires aggressive political advocacy. As EVP of Design and Development for JM Hospitality, 2024 Hilton Developer of the Year, and a former provincial Campaign Manager, I bridge real estate and government policy. I will advocate for Ownership Companies, streamline development pipelines, and champion an inclusive workforce.
A Bit About Me
Hasheel Lodhia is the Executive Vice President of Design and Development for JM Hospitality, leading a premier portfolio in the GTA. Under his strategic direction, JM Hospitality was named the 2024 Hilton Developer of the Year and is currently developing Canada's first triple-brand hotel.

Hasheel brings over 15 years of governance, political advocacy, event production, and operations experience to his executive role. As the former head of an international event management company, he produced global conferences, music festivals, and city-wide events. He holds a BCom in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Toronto Metropolitan University and a BSc in Mathematics and Biology from McMaster. His leadership background includes serving on the Board of Directors for the International Live Events Association (ILEA), holding executive tenure with the Ryerson Commerce Society, and acting as Campaign Manager for the 2018 provincial election.

As an openly queer South Asian executive, his achievements extend beyond corporate real estate; Hasheel is a Dora Award-winning composer, internationally trained Hindustani Classical musician, and co-founder of the Chai and Jam concert series. This intersection of executive development, high-level governance, and artistic performance equips him with strategic foresight and a commitment to driving diversity within the Canadian lodging industry.

Spearheading aggressive portfolio growth across the Greater Toronto Area. Awarded the 2024 Hilton Developer of the Year. Successfully launched Canada's first Spark by Hilton and currently leading the development of Canada's first triple brand hotel.
Campaign Manager, Ontario Provincial Election
Directed a highly competitive provincial election campaign in the Greater Toronto Area. Managed comprehensive data strategy, extensive volunteer networks, and high level political outreach to drive community engagement and voter turnout.
